Tour Through Blogland, The 20 Things Tag and Chocolate Book Tag!

Hello my readers! Right, I am extremely sorry for not posting like I said I would, but I have pretty much had homework every day since I started school. Not fun. I had a day off from homework Monday and was planning to do a room tour, but I broke my new bookshelf by accident, and it took ages to fix! And yesterday I began writing this post but something happened involving me going to my friend's house! But then the lovely Bethan tagged me in three tags! Thank you, I feel special. Therefore today I shall be doing the Tour Through Blogland tag, the 20 things tag and the chocolate book tag! Let's get straight to it!

If you are tagged, answer the questions I answered:

1. What am I working on?
Ummm, well I don't have a lot of time to write, but when I get an idea for a story I instantly write it down on my phone. I wrote a beginning of a story for Beth's Writing Challenge, but never got round to finishing it. I guess I'm still working on that because it is an idea I would like to expand on and continue with.

2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
I have no idea... I think that because I'm fairly new to the whole blog thing, I'm not as open to things with you all, but I think once I get friendlier with some of you, I will feel like you're my bestie! Haha, but I seriously don't know.

3. Why do I write/create what I do?
I really enjoy blogging. I know I'm not all that good at it and I don't do it frequently, but I really do enjoy it. I like thinking up new ideas on blog posts and reading what others have to say about my blog!

4. How does your writing/creating process work?
I usually read other people's blogs and watch YouTube to get inspiration. Or I'll just be in the mood for a tag or a room tour! But I usually get inspiration from others.

Tag 2! The 20 Things Tag!

If you're tagged, just answer these questions:

1. How tall are you?
I think I'm 5 foot 2"

2. Do you have a hidden talent? If so what?
I don't think I do? I'm not very talented to be honest!

3. What's your biggest blog related pet-peeve?
Blogger tends to change the font and colour of my text, it annoys me!

4. What's your biggest non-blog related pet-peeve
Probably when people use text talk like "u" and "yur". I'm like, no. TALK PROPERLY. Sorry if any of you do that! >.<

5. What's your favourite song?
I swear this question haunts me... I don't have a favourite song, it changes all the time. So at the moment it's probably "Say Something" by Great Big World and Christina Aguilera. It's such a beautiful song.

6. What's your favourite Etsy shop that isn't yours?
I don't shop on Etsy haha.

7. What's your favourite way to spend your free time when you're alone?
Reading a lot of the time. Talking to my friends, thinking about life. But mainly reading because I annoy a lot of people...

8. What's your favourite junk food?
CHOCOLATE AND CAKE.

9. Do you have a pet or pets?
I have two dogs called Angus and Rosie, they're both labradoodles! And I have a cat called Lily.

10. What are your number one favourite non-fiction and fiction books?
Oh wow... My favourite non-fiction would probably have to be the Diary of Anne Frank or Freddie Mercury: His life in his own words. And my favourite books are: The Fault in Our Stars, the Book Thief, the Rehearsal, Harry Potter series, Divergent Trilogy and the Great Gatsby.

11. What's your favourite beauty product?
Don't wear makeup except for performing in shows, but probably some skin stuff (no idea what it's called!)

12, When were you last embarrassed? What happened?
I don't remember... I don't get embarrassed easily because I don't care what other's think of me! But I do have a similar experience to Beth! My brother Jon works for a sound company, and they do sound effects for Doctor Who. So Matt Smith and Karen Gillan were all there. I was running around looking for the toilets, and I ran around a corner and smacked straight into Matt Smith... I was pretty embarrassed and starstruck at the same time. I just sort of went "S-s-sorry...".

13. If you could drink one beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Probably smoothies or squash!

14. What's your favourite movie?
I have a few: The Fault in Our Stars, Divergent, the Book Thief, Harry Potter series, Tommy, Stuck in Love and probably Love Actually!

15. What were you in high school: prom queen, nerd, cheerleader, jock, valedictorian, band geek, loner, artist, prep?
I still am in high school! Probably nerd? I don't know, none of the above...

16. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
New York, Amsterdam, London, Florida, Hollywood, or right here!

17. PC or Mac?
PC I guess?

18. Last romantic gesture from a crush/date/girlfriend/boyfriend?
I don't know? A playful punch? Hahahahaha.

19. Favourite celebrity?
Here we go: Chloe Grace Moretz, Johnny Depp, Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort, Nat Wolff, Alan Rickman, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Peter Capaldi, Tom Hiddleston, Richard Armitage, Lee Mead...and others!

20. What blogger do you secretly want to be best friends with?
All of them!

Finally! The Chocolate Book Tag!!!

Dark chocolate - a book that covers a dark topic
For this I chose the Book Thief. It's based in the time of the second world war, the whole book is narrated by death. Pretty dark but an incredible book. The blurb:
HERE IS A SMALL FACT
You are going to die

1939. Nazi Germany. The country is holding its breath. Death has never been busier.
Liesel, a nine-year-old girl is living with a foster family on Himmel Street. Her parents have been taken away to a concentration camp. Liesel steals books. This is her story and the story of the inhabitants of her street when the bombs begin to fall.

SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This novel is narrated by Death.

It's a small story, about:
a girl
an accordionist
some fanatical Germans
a Jewish fist fighter
and quite a lot of thievery

ANOTHER THING YOU SHOULD KNOW
Death will visit the Book Thief three times.

White chocolate - your favourite light-hearted, humorous read
Definitely the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. Oh. My. Gosh. This book is hilarious. The blurb:
Arthur Dent is already having a really bad day, even before the Earth gets demolished to make way for a new hyperspace bypass. After that things get much, much worse.

With just a towel, a small yellow fish and a book, Arthur has to navigate through a very hostile universe in the company of a gang of unreliable alien oddballs. Luckily the fish is quite good at languages. And the book is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy...

Douglas Adams's mega-selling cult classic sends logic into orbit, plays havoc with physics and twists time, but most importantly it's very, very funny.

Milk chocolate - a book that has lots of hype and that you are dying to read
We Were Liars by E. Lockhart had major hype all over Booktube! I bought it when in London, but still haven't read it, I want to see what all the fuss is about!! The blurb: (taken from Goodreads)
A beautiful and distinguished family.
A private island.
A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy.
A group of four friends - the liars - whose friendship turns destructive.
A revolution. An accident. A secret.
Lies upon lies.
True love.
The truth.

Read it.
And if anyone asks you how it ends, just LIE.

Chocolate with a caramel centre - a book that made you feel all gooey inside:
Anna and the French Kiss is such a beautiful, funny and cute book! When I first read this, it literally made me feel all gooey... The blurb:
Anna had everything figure out - she was about to start senior year with her best friend, she had a great weekend job, and her huge work crush looked as if it might finally be going somewhere... Until her dad decides to send her 4383 miles away to Paris. On her own.

But despite not speaking a word of French, Anna finds herself making new friends, including Etienne St. Clair, the smart, beautiful boy from the floor above. But he's taken - and Anna might be too. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with the French kiss she's been waiting for?

Wafter-free Kit Kat - a book that surprised you:
For those of you who have read this, I am hoping you were just as surprised as I was... Man, this book was an incredible finish to the series, but that ending was just... Wow. The blurb:
The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered - fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she's known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties and painful memories.

But Tris's new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature - and of herself - while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice and love.

Snickers - a book that you're going nuts for

I am currently on the second book of the Hitchhiker's Guide Series by Douglas Adams. The first one I have already mentioned in this post, but I am in LOVE with the series so far! I've heard from my friends that the books get better and better, so I can't wait to read the others! The first two have been so funny and mind-boggling, but absolutely incredible and great if you ever just want to laugh.

Hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows - a book that you go to for a comfort read
The first and the last Harry Potter books would have to be my comfort reads. I like reading from where Harry's story first began and the whole series started, and then I like seeing how much he changed and how his story ends. They're both such beautiful books and I love them both.

A box of chocolates - which series have you read that is great for everybody
Either the Harry Potter Series or the Under the Never Sky trilogy. The Harry Potters are incredible for any age group and are such beautiful reads. The Under the Never Sky trilogy is more for teenagers, but pretty much covers almost every genre. They're both excellent series', and everyone should read them!

That it is for my medley of tags, thank you Bethan!! Again, sorry for the lack of posting, but I promise I will TRY to post more often.

Meg xx
